Social Machine returns to OBSCUUR with Fantasy
Fantasy is the new single from Social Machine on OBSCUUR Records, released on 11 September 2026. It carries two tracks, Fantasy XTC and Sport Funk, and sits in electro, techno/house and dance territory. It is the artist’s second release on the label, following GIVE IT 2 YA earlier in 2026. Both tracks are on the Fantasy release page.
What tracks are on Social Machine’s Fantasy?
Two originals, both by Social Machine. Fantasy XTC opens at 4:32. Sport Funk follows at 4:39. Both come in under five minutes, so the single stays compact from the first track to the last, with only seven seconds between the two running times.
What genre is Fantasy?
The release is filed under electro, techno/house and dance. That is a different corner from the hard house, trance, bounce and garage the label is known for, and it shows the range of the OBSCUUR catalogue. Social Machine brings that sound to a label built around high energy dance music, and the two tracks give DJs and producers two clear options from the same artist.
Has Social Machine released on OBSCUUR before?
Yes. GIVE IT 2 YA came out on OBSCUUR earlier in 2026, and Fantasy is the next release from Social Machine on the label. If the new single is your way in, the earlier record is the natural next stop: Social Machine – GIVE IT 2 YA.
Fantasy is out now on OBSCUUR, with Fantasy XTC and Sport Funk waiting on the release page.
